A social enterprise tries to meet a need or solve a social problem by using a business approach. The goal of Las Fotos Project’s social enterprise is to change the landscape of LA’s creative economy by training a generation of teenage girls and non-binary youth to enter the creative field. By choosing to work at The Foto Studio, your fees are invested into Las Fotos Project’s free year round programming including our Creative Entrepreneurship Opportunities class which supports young entrepreneurs as they begin their career in the creative industry. By working at The Foto Studio, you help us disrupt a primarily male creative economy in LA.

Since The Foto Studio is part of our Social Enterprise, we do have an hourly rate to use the space. However, our goal is to support local artists of color in accessing a safe, creative workspace so scholarships or mutual aid opportunities are available for those who qualify.
