In Community: Zine Launch Party & Fundraiser
Join us Sunday, July 17th for a zine launch party and fundraiser, featuring our Youth Advisory Council's zine: In Community (Vol 1).
About the Zine
In Community (Vol 1) is the culmination of our Youth Advisory Council's year long leadership project, focusing on the femme food justice organizers that are working to feed our communities.
Organizations featured in the zine include Allianza Nacional de Campesinas and Polo’s Pantry, who work in tandem (along with other mutual aid organizations) to provide resources to farmworker communities (the same workers that harvest the food we receive for our monthly food distributions in Boyle Heights).
Zines will be available for purchase (sliding scale, suggested donation).
Photo Sessions
Another way to support our Youth Advisory Council’s fundraising efforts is by scheduling a portrait session! Bring your family or your besties, or just come freshen up your headshots!
Las Fotos Project Portrait & Headshot Sessions are only $45 for a 15-minute mini-session and include unlimited poses. Payment will be received upon arrival (Zelle & PayPal by Alanna Araujo)
Your digital images will be emailed to you within five business days so you can share them with your loved ones or on social media.
Clothing Swap
Clean out your closet and bring your (clean) clothes to swap, or just come shop! Items will be sliding-scale (pay what you want) in two sections: suggested $1-$5 and suggested $5-$10. These are also suggested prices, pay what you can and take what you need. 💖
*If you are bringing clothes to swap, please come through before 2 pm

Stop by for a mini tarot session! Available between 1 pm and 3 pm.

Event Details
This event is FREE to enter and all offerings are donation based.
Please do not feel excluded if you cannot donate; we will have more than enough clothing to go around and you are welcome to join the swap with or without a donation!
All proceeds from the zine, photo sessions, tarot readings, and the clothing swap will be donated to Allianza Nacional de Campesinas and Polo’s Pantry to further support their work.
Donations will be accepted in the form of cash, Venmo, or Zelle
