Making Moves & Making Media is curated by Piper Perabo in collaboration with The Lower Eastside Girls Club. The panel will highlight inspirational, women-identifying artists who are breaking barriers, with the hopes of inspiring young media-makers.

When you purchase a ticket to one or both panels, you are supporting The Lower Eastside Girls Clubs mission to train the next generation of ethical, entrepreneurial, and environmental leaders. Since the New York City shelter-in-place order, The Girls Club has gone above and beyond to make sure our members are staying strong, safe, healthy and educated.

In response to COVID-19 and with your ticket purchases, we can continue to:

  • Provide short-term cash infusions for non-food necessities
  • Provide homemade masks and cleaning supplies Sourcing produce from local organic farms, and distributing food and takeout meals for families of 4+
  • Send books, art supplies, computers and sewing machines to members
  • Conduct daily check-ins from staff, assessing the needs of each family
  • Provide online mentoring, tutoring and resources
  • Run a ‘virtual’ online Girls Club to enable our staff to continue to teach classes and provide safe social spaces for our members
