PHOTOVILLE is an annual festival created in a modular venue built from re-purposed shipping containers. The event brings together photographers to interact and engage with a diverse audience — a veritable cross-section of the world’s photographic community.

In September, Las Fotos Project had the opportunity to join the Lower East Side Girls Club of New York to present on the collaborative project, “The Power of Pink” – a photo essay on the power of young women’s voices.

Thanks to our supporters, we were able to send our student photographer, Sabina Lopez, to present her experiences with “The Power of Pink” and to continue building networks with other girls who are passionate about capturing their communities and their power through photography.
