Dhyandra Lawson

Dhyandra Lawson joined the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in 2012, where she is curatorial assistant. She recently co-curated the LACMA exhibition “Eleanor Antin: Time’s Arrow,” and is organizing its tour to the Art Institute of Chicago this fall. She was co-curator of “Richard Prince: Untitled (cowboy)” in 2018, and curated “The Magic Medium” presented at LACMA in 2016.

Lawson is a LACMA-ASU Master’s of Art History Fellow. In addition to her work on exhibitions and publications, Lawson builds upon LACMA’s collection of over 20,000 photographs. Her research areas of interest include modern and contemporary photography and time based media.
